Abstract 
Imadaddin Nasimi’s life and work are taught in the VIII and X grades of secondary schools. It is necessary to create a complete picture of the ideological and aesthetic value of Nasimi’s unique role in our development and the artistic legacy of our art. During the discussions in the literature classes, students should acquire knowledge about the importance of Nasimi’s advanced ideas and his literary legacy for our modern age. While teaching the poet’s life and creativity, philosophical poetry, moral and instructive works should be mentioned, during the discussion, the personality traits, ideological and artistic features of the rich creativity must be deeply mastered.
